AN ENDLESS SCIENCE

Are you still struggling to reconcile the disparity between Darwin’s evolution theory and the Divine Creation? Perhaps most of us are recurrently, mystified about the feasibility of time travel and time machines. How about the existence of parallel universes, do you find it amazing or rather irrational? Still interested around alien invasion or you may be more engrossed reflecting the issues of global warming and its menace that we are already living through. Plus, the revolution of technology that has affected every single aspect of our life, we may continue to ask these questions: Why do we have to learn Science? Is there an end to Science?

I am always amazed with Science, and the practical experiences that I learned in school were so rewarding up to this time. But there are volumes of concept in science that could not just be done in the classroom, and could not even be observed by means of simple equipment and experiments. Things that go beyond common sense. More often than not, we are stuck with questions hanging round the brain and only content ourselves with the explanation provided in books and excellent scientific journals.  It should be all right then, for these scientists and authors have studied tremendously on these subjects, and thus afforded us a truly credible description on every possible question there is in science. You could not do a classroom practical about Big Bang theory, could you?

Science is an endless spectrum of possibilities.  Much have been discovered through it, yet these are nothing compared to the even bigger space that remained hidden and unexplored.  Science is life itself that extends through time and space, and accordingly, the more we know about science, the more we realize how little is our knowledge about it.

Practically, science is everything. But don’t get me wrong about this notion. I do not propose to disregard the ultimate being who I faithfully believed created this universe and beyond. What I am trying to say is that, science is a perfect work of creation that has come about through a perfect mind. A creator so intelligent and infallible, that everything is put in apposite order and beginning, yet so complex to the human intellect. I may have that immense passion for science, but it does not, in so many words, terrorize my faith to one Supreme being, who gave us this world to live and explore.

What makes science so intriguing to me is that it has the facility to answer many questions and the method to make use of simple things around, become so relevant and useful to mankind.  For example, the discovery of electricity is one of the greatest achievements of science,  and thousand more discoveries were made because of it. The development of technology could not have been so massive if it were not of science. According to Jacob Aron, a young mathematician turned science writer; ‘ Without science, you would not be reading this. Without science, there would be no computers, no internet, and no blogging.’

Could science end somewhere, no one knows. What scientists do know is that there are still loads in store for people to know in this universe, and our generation could not utterly discover all these.

All the same, science has definitely influence our way of thinking, in the manner we understand the universe and the things in it. We are greatly benefited by its development and we continue to learn more to make life better.

  1. I've never really bought the dichotomy between big bang/evolution and creation. I'm with you in believing that they could be both true. As you've said, "science is an endless spectrum of possibilities." One such possibility is that a Supreme Being caused the Big Bang and evolution to happen. Ultimately, what we have come to know as science came from a divine source.

  2. i've also been fascinated with science though it has never been quite my favorite subject in school. however, reading something about science most especially recent discoveries, give me that sense of assurance that humans can really discover and learn more about almost anything.

  3. I am a strong agnostic but I believe that the idea of a god or gods and science can coexist. Just because science can explain a lot of things does not mean it proves that there is no god. I guess the conflict is because a lot of people only consider the biblical god.

  4. for me, science only proves that life is improbable sans intelligent design.

  5. Science is a part of our lives and existed the same day God created the universe. Yes, science is an unending process and discovery.Without we don't have all the new technologies in this world.

  6. I agree with the endless nature of science. With each discovery, new questions and debates arise.

  7. I love science. I like watching movies with science in it. I also have a lot of questions that cannot be answered by science...

I just pray that science would not destroy what's been created by God. :)

  8. I love science even though it doesn't love me back during my school years hahaha! :) There's really a lot of things that only science could explain :)

  9. Science is definitely a fascinating thing. Although I can be quite scientific, I don't see why religion and science can't coexist. I actually think that even God applied sciences when He created the world.. :)

  10. Science is my favorite subject way back in elementary up to now. I love its complexity and even though it aches my head sometimes, the feeling of being able to explain something through science is very overwhelming. Knowing how things occur, why it happens, how, etc.

  11. science is a body of knowledge backed up by facts.. interesting take on the subject.. :)

  12. In every angle, the sources of our question is infinite and I must say (this is my stand), that science was also designed by God.

For example, science may answer the origin of our species encapsulated by Drawin's theory -- we cam from monkey, right? The next question is, where did these monkeys came from? For example, the answer is, it came from alien. Now, where did this alien came from? and etc.... that's sooooo infinite and SCIENCE CAN NOT ANSWER EVERYTHING BECAUSE HUMAN KNOWLEDGE IS VERY LIMITED!

It only shows that behind all these things in universe, there is Someone who created it and guarding the revolution of every planet, the life of every star and on how the Earth rotate on it's axis. can science explain Why and how come the earth rotates? The answer is NO.

    Conclusion: There is a GOD!

  13. i belive so. i believe in god and everything in this world is permanent. but whenever i watched something in nat geo or discovery it makes me have doubt but still have fear in god! xx

  14. Science is in the blogosphere now. Interesting.

  15. Though most of their beliefs are contradicting, I like them both. ^_^

  16. My 4y old boy always do watch this show "I Bilib" because I think he finds science so amazing. Personally I think, science makes things around but still there is someone Supreme to all.

  17. I never liked science back in middle school, but through the years of watching natgeo and other shows I really became interested in it. I love watching them rather than reading and computing for the formulas given in school. I think I understood it better by watching. =)

  18. not really a fan of science :(
im really bad at memorization and the like .

pero im somewhat amazed with every new learning, though sometimes, it's better not knowing them . hehe

  19. I have a heavy background in Science being a Science major back in college. I can appreciate the science behind things but there is only some things that the mind can perceive because we are limited with our senses. "Science is everything" might be too absolute. I am more comfortable in saying that "there is science in every thing" but event that can be refuted if one believes in miracles.

  20. Science could somehow explain everything..but not all the time..

  21. Science is just one concept, amongst many other things that make up our whole system. It may very well explain how certain things may have been created, but it doesn't really clause in things. I mean, it is not just the knowledge of science that helps make inventions/discoveries work -- there's also math, etc. that should also be factored in. :)

  22. I, too, am fascinated with science.. but all the more fascinated with God who made it all!

Study of Metaphysics - which goes back even before the modern history of science - makes one just wonder more and more about what is.. really. :)

  23. This is quite an interesting topic to discuss.
I am amazed by life's invention and discoveries and
whatever is still beyond us... science will have its explanation
and maybe, our generation may not know it yet.

  24. science by itself is explanation, studies... the how and what of things. so it will forever exist. but not all can be and should be explained... we should know that we have limits. Yahweh bless.
